Young leaders from across the region were in attendance to be a part of this milestone for EYL and a newly established corporation and governance processes. Eager to learn and voice their concerns of

Identifying local priorities were at the centre of the conversations by allowing members to have those discussions re-establishing the value of “Nothing About us without us”.

Co-founders of EYL, community leaders and supporters were encouraged to give a few supportive words of wisdom for the members moving forward as the upcoming generation, which they did so generously reinforcing the mission & values of empowering our Kimberley Youth.

“Mirriwung dancers performed so powerfully under the stars and boab trees, culture was strong and the connection to country was channelling through me my Liyarn felt good, Identity + connectedness was my biggest lesson” Quentin commented about his experience. 

With the support of the following organisations Aarnja, Aboriginal regional governance group, Kimberley Aboriginal Lore & Culture Centre, Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services, Kimberley Land Council, Jawun and Ec-West this couldn’t of happen. They were acknowledged with a certificate of appreciation!!
