Joint Decision Making

EC-West works alongside community members to strengthen coordination and alignment of services across the West Kimberley. By working together, we can maximise benefits, reduce duplication and support a more integrated approach to program delivery.

The Joint Decision Making (JDM) framework gives Aboriginal people a formal voice in place-based decisions, including funding allocation, service priorities and new investment opportunities. The framework has been co-designed by community members, Directors and Government.

Supported by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), EC-West delivers two JDM rounds each year, using a collaborative and reflective process to review funded activities and improve outcomes over time.

If you are an Aboriginal community member living in the West Kimberley and would like to take part in a JDM panel in your local area, we encourage you to register your interest by completing the form at the bottom of this page.

You can also visit our Events page to stay informed about upcoming JDM, Local Management Committee (LMC), BRYFC and other community meetings and events.
