Our Members

EC-West’s members are at the heart of our work and our advocacy for positive change for West Kimberley Aboriginal people. Our strong and growing membership includes over 30 Aboriginal organisations committed to driving community-led change across the region. Once membership is approved, organisations participate in their local Local Management Committee (LMC) in Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Valley or the Dampier Peninsula. Through regular LMC meetings, members shape local priorities, contribute to key discussions, and provide recommendations for endorsement by the EC-West Board. The leadership, direction and advice of our members are essential to achieving our vision, strengthening Aboriginal empowerment, and influencing meaningful government reform.

If you’re interested in finding out more about membership and joining the Empowered Communities movement in the West Kimberley, please contact us.

Our Collaborators

Our collaborators include government agencies at local, state and national levels. Non-Indigenous service providers working across education, health, justice and youth services; philanthropic and research institutions that support innovation and learning; plus community and corporate allies aligned with our vision. Together, they resource and fund key work, align services to local priorities, co-design initiatives with EC-West and its members and amplify Indigenous-led reform to support lasting, community-led change.
