The Role of LMCs
Local Management Committees (LMCs) play a pivotal role within EC-West, serving as critical place-based advocates for the community and advisors to EC-West. Comprised of representatives from Aboriginal Organisations who have signed on to EC-West as a member, LMCs serve as place-based forums for engagement, local initiative planning, and developing recommendations for the Board’s consideration. LMCs are the heartbeat of EC-West's community-driven approach to empowerment and reform in the West Kimberley region.
LMCs help to bridge the gap between policy formulation and project selection at the organisational level and placed based implementation on the ground.
